Adi, who has just graduated from school, returns to his home village in the Danube Delta to rest and make plans for the future in the idyllic setting. When he is beaten up one night on his way home from a tavern, it changes the young man's attitude towards his safe home, as well as the attitude of his family members and neighbors towards Adi. The fear and anger of his parents, the local police chief's attempt to cover up what happened, even the involvement of a priest who is supposed to exorcise the 'evil spirit' from Adi so that he can become 'healthy'... Despite the village community's efforts to show modern Romania as a tolerant society, rampant homophobia and fear of anything different have not disappeared.
The drama, which was screened in the competition program of last year's Cannes Film Festival, won the Queer Palm award for best LGBT+ film.
